Really wanted a rashguard with long sleeves as I'm delving into no gi more nowadays (though I'm really a gi girl at heart, haha). I usually get other brands, but saw a sponsored athlete post a photo on a women's grappling social media group page, and loved the look. The only thing I hesitated on was the sizing, as per the size chart, I would be a large--but when I emailed the company, they thought maybe small or medium based on my height and weight (5' 2" and 123-125 lbs). I private messaged the athlete who posted on Facebook and she thought maybe a small would work (but not if I was large-chested--not an issue for me). I am happy I went with the small. I'm short, so the sleeves are a bit long--might have been nice to have a 3/4 fit sleeve? Otherwise, it's a bit loose around the armpits as well (never an issue for me, especially as I have broad shoulders). I usually wear a small (or sometimes a tight-fitting medium) women's rashguard in other brands, so I thought the size chart putting me at a large was inaccurate and a bit tough to use, since the instructions for measuring don't match other brands. Just a thought. Still love the look though!
Love the fit and quality of material. Fits the way I need it to without pinching anywhere or riding up. And looks rad on top of all that!
We all have ours in the family, Phalanx are our best ones
The material that this rash guard is made from feels really nice! However, I only wear it for gi training due to the lack of rubber grip at the bottom. I like it and I’m going to use it anyway. I (5’10”; 150 lbs) purchased a large and it fits snug around the waist and hips but has plenty of space for my shoulders. It’s a tiny bit short in the sleeves but that’s probably because I’m taller than average.
