I’ve owned quite a few rashguards and this one has become one of my favorites. Definitely one of the most comfortable ones. Designs nowadays are ultra-competitive so it’s pretty easy to find one that looks cool. So for me, it’s come to comfort and feel and this rash has it. Doesn’t hurt that my bros at Phalanx make their gear look sweet as well!
I own several Phalanx rashguards and they are simply the best. I'm 6ft0, 170lbs and wear a medium. The large fits well around the chest and arms but is loose in the body. The medium is snug all around including the body - perfect fit.
The problem with most Rash Guards is they do not solve the all of the problems associated with repeated heavy usage. If they are constructed well, they still acquire a funk to it. This is the lightest, strongest and most durable rash guard I have ever felt in my hands (Including Surfing Rash Guards). The fact that it comes with an antimicrobial to help with the other problem that comes with any gear you take to the gym is a huge bonus. On average I normally spend about $80 a year on rash guards between rolling and surfing. I am very confident that the total cost of owning rash guards has been cut by buying a quality, well tailored and engineered product. Problems with typical rash guards = They are not engineered for rolling and durability and acquire a funk. Problem solved with Phalanx Rash Guards !!!!!
I had given up on finding a rash guard that would endure surfing and rolling. The problem with most rash guards is they either start to loose their elastomeric characteristics after heavy use or they acquire the "funk" of the gym. I have tried washing with White Vinegar and Odoban but I find when I use them, they have a negative impact on the material. I am really impressed that this rash guard came with an antimicrobial. So far- no funk. Even if the antimicrobial becomes overwhelmed by my neanderthal sweat and stink, the material is so tough that I doubt White Vinegar or anything else will hurt it. I know you guys are making Gi's too...looking forward to seeing what you guys create!
